While the 2015 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-hour race was only run a couple of weeks ago at Mt Panorama, race organisers are already preparing for a return to the mountain in 2016 with the Seven Network being confirmed as the event’s broadcaster partner for 2016. The cars of Australian and International GT racing will return to Mount Panorama over the period 5-7 February 2016.
Seven was a first-time broadcaster of the 12-hour race this year and its live coverage on Sunday, 8 February on Seven and 7mate had:
- a peak audience of 730,000 viewers across metropolitan and regional markets; and
- an average metro and regional audience of 396,000.
Saul Shtein, Head of Sport, Seven Network said:
“This is a great event. Bathurst is a special place and we loved being a part of this year’s 12 Hour. Our audiences loved the race and we’re looking forward to being the broadcast partner in 2016.”
Event and broadcast details will be confirmed at a later date.
